There's been plenty of talks and rumors about Edmonton Oilers forward Jesse Puljujärvi. The 24 year old forward was once projected to be a huge star when the Oilers selected him 4th overall in the 2016 NHL draft.

However, Puljujärvi has never been able to live up to his potential and for the past couple season's, Puljujärvi has fell down lower in the eyes of Oilers management.

This season Puljujärvi has just 1 goal and 5 assists in 30 games.

Last week, Puljujarvi told reporter Tommi Seppälä that he isn't sure if the National Hockey League is the place for him anymore. Holland attempted to trade Puljujarvi a few seasons ago when the young forward headed to Finland, but he never got an offer.

"I don't really have a solution. That's my response: It's a hard league. - Jesse Puljujärvi

However despite the fact Puljujärvi's stock is low, Sportsnet's Hockey Insider Elliotte Friedman would reveal that Puljujärvi was almost traded back at the NHL Draft to the Montreal Canadiens this off-season in July.

Except the Canadiens decided to go instead with Acquiring Sean Monahan from the Calgary Flames instead.
