This past season has been one for the ages for Connor McDavid, the superstar centerman for the Oilers. His NHL career has been skyrocketing, garnering strong support across the entire fan base. And now, he has decided to take the vows with his new fiance.

A couple of days ago, McDavid announced a few photos that surfaced on the Internet. At the NHL awards, where he accepted four trophies to add to his collection, he was interviewed by a young fan who jokingly called him out about the size of the ring he chose.

It was all in good fun, and McDavid explained that he has worked tirelessly throughout his life to perfect his craft, shooting countless pucks, and he felt that she deserved it.

The 2022-2023 season was simply phenomenal for McDavid. He played all 82 games, scoring 64 goals, which earned him the Rocket Richard Trophy, along with 89 assists and 153 points. With a +22 rating, he accumulated 36 penalty minutes, 21 power-play goals, and 71 power-play points.

Additionally, he notched 11 game-winning goals.

During the playoffs, McDavid played twelve games, scoring eight goals and providing 12 assists for a total of 20 points. He also contributed twelve power-play points. This man is on a mission, and he will undoubtedly continue to lead the Oilers toward the Stanley Cup finals.

We want to extend our congratulations to Connor and his new fiance, Lauren Kyle, and wish them all the best as they embark on this new chapter in their lives.
