The Edmonton Oilers are taking on the Chicago Blackhawks tonight but will be without recently named All-Star goalie Stuart Skinner. Skinner was a late scratch for the game as he came down with an illness. The Edmonton Oilers will have to turn to an emergency goaltender to be the backup for the game tonight. The Oilers will turn to Jack Campbell to start the game who is looking for his sixth straight win.

Moments before the game Matt Berlin had to sign an amateur tryout contract to with the Oilers on an emergency basis to make it legal for him to serve as the backup tonight.

Crazy thing about all this is that Skinner and Berlin both played on the same team in U15 in 2011-12 and 2012-13.

The EBUG for the Oilers is Matt Berlin from the University of Alberta Golden Bears. Berlin has a current record of 4-1-0 with the Golden Bears this season also putting up a 2.57 GAA and a .892 SV%

The EBUG got a shot in goal throughout the last few minutes of the game, stopping the one shot on goal he faced, recording a shutout. Woodcraft stated McDavid told him he should consider it, and he sure did. Checkout his post game interview below:
