Flashback- Officials Forced To Call The Game After Fans Take Over
In 1993 the Kamloops Blazers created a concept which has now became a tradition to organizations all over Noth America, that was called the "Teddy Bear Toss Game."
For those who haven't heard of it, when the participating home teams score their first goal of the game the fans in attendance litter the ice with various stuffed animals, mainly teddy bears.
However, during last night's game things didn't go as planned. With the Bears losing 2-0 (being shutout) fans decided to take things in their own hands and decided to toss the bears on the ice.
There was only 5 seconds left on the clock, so the officials decided to just end the game. This obviously wasn't the way the Bears or their fans wanted this game to go, but either way the bears will get to their respective charities and be shared amongst the children and that's still a win in my books.
