Flyers Defensemen Gets Jumped by 5 Opponents and Ejected After Spearing Opponent in The Balls
During Tuesday night's game between the Philadelphia Flyers and the Tampa Bay Lightning, defenseman Tony DeAngelo of the Flyers found himself in hot water.
Late in the third period, DeAngelo would unprovokedly attack Lightning forward Corey Perry in the vulnerable area.
DeAngelo received a five minute major for spearing and was ejectedfrom the game. DeAngelo will very definitely be suspended by the League, and today the NHL player safety committee announced that he will indeed have a hearing.
