Former Flames star tries to embellish a call

Players are trying to sell penalties to referees these days to give their teams an advantage through embellishment. Michael Bunting of the Toronto Maple Leafs has done this repeatedly and has been called out by referees recently.

Though some of the calls are legit, a number of them can be questioned, to say the least. During tonight's game against the Florida Panthers however former flames superstar Matthew Tkachuk Tried to sell a call to the referee from a push from Leafs defenseman Justin Holl.

Fortunately for the Leafs, the attempt to draw a penalty didn't occur and the game went on as normal.

The 25-year-old left winger has had another amazing season for his career. Tkachuk Has played 71 games, scored 35 goals with 62 assists for 97 points and is a + 22 he has 92 penalty minutes and 32 power-play points.

It's safe to say that Oilers Nation is happy to see him in the Eastern Conference and that the flames have never been the same since his departure.

The Oilers will be home for their next game against the Los Angeles Kings will be on March 30th. Game time will be at 9:00 PM eastern
