The rocky relationship between Jesse Puljujarvi and the Edmonton Oilers was well known through the NHL and the fan base. It became clear after being drafted in the 2016 entry draft, first round, 4th overall that his numbers and style of play did not fit what the Oilers were hoping for.
After spending six seasons with the Oilers the team decided to make the change and send him to the Carolina Hurricanes for Patrik Puisola in early 2023.
After undergoing bilateral hip resurfacing surgery last summer, it's reported by Chris Johnston that he is ready for full contact training as he has been cleared by his doctors.
This news should kick up the rumor mill as even well undergoing rehab for his surgery several teams surfaced as potential suitors for Puljujarvi including the Montreal Canadiens.
His career has spanned 334 games, has scored 51 goals with 63 assists for 114 points and is a + 5.
