The last number of months have been a rollercoaster for former Oilers Jesse Pujujarvi. After weeks of gruelling debate and waiting to see if the Oilers would make a move, he was moved to the Carolina hurricanes just before the trade deadline.

Since his arrival, Pujujarvi has not been very effective with the Hurricanes. Tonight the Hurricanes stormed into Toronto on Saint Patrick's Day to try to spoil the festivities. As the clock ran down in the first period, leave centerman Noel Acciari was breaking in when he collided with pulley RV and took a hit directly to the head.

No penalty was called on the play.

The Leafs centerman went down quite quickly and was seen going down the tunnel to the dressing room. Maple Leafs centermen John Tavares and defenseman Luke Schenn certainly made Pujujarvi pay for what he did with numerous bodychecks.

Acciari, was held out for the remainder of the game but was seen in the dressing room with his teammates. It appears they held him out as a precaution, he will remain out for the next game against the Ottawa Senators tomorrow.

Pujujarvi has played four games with the Hurricanes and has scored no points whatsoever and is currently a - 2. This is certainly not the start he was looking for with a new team.
