Game suspended after another player suffers life-threatening injuries in disturbing incident
In a recent hockey game between HV71 and Djurgrden IF, things took a serious turn when a player got hurt, involving 26-year old Sanni Hakala, after she crashed into the goal post, forcing the game to stop.
After the collision, Hakala was taken off the ice on a stretcher and brought to the hospital. We don't know the full extent of her injuries yet, but early reports say they are severe. This happened during yesterday's game, and you can watch the footage below:
Our prayers are with Hakala, as us here at Oilersdaily wish her a speedy recovery. Witnessing incidents like this is challenging, and nobody wants it to occur in any sport.
