To say the Ottawa Senators and Montreal Canadiens don't care for each other would be an understatement. Ever since the Ottawa Senators joined the NHL there's been a rivalry brewing, although it's not as deep of a hate like it is vs the Boston Bruins or Toronto Maple Leafs, but there's definitely some hard feelings between the two.
Things heated up in a hurry in this one when the Canadiens rookie defenceman Arber Xhekaj would try to egg on Ottawa Senators Captain Brady Tkachuk to a fight by flicking the puck at him, a scrum would ensue but Tkachuk understandably didn't want no part of Xhekaj, who's became one of the toughest players when it comes to the fighting skills.
Tkachuk would get the last laugh on this one, scoring the winning goal with just over a minute to play when a Tkachuk shot would go off of Canadiens defenceman David Savard past Canadiens goaltender Jake Allen.
Tkachuk would take a moment to egg on the Canadiens fans by the boards who wanted to let Tkachuk know he's number one.
