Happy Moment: Tyson Barrie Snipes Home His First Goal as a Nashville Predator
Tyson Barrie was one of the players sent back to the Nashville Predators as part of the Mattis Ekholm trade.
Barrie and a 1st round pick in 2023 and a 4th round pick, plus prospect Reid Schafer were included in the trade. Barrie is quick to prove his value on his new team, which Oilers fans will miss.
Barrie fires a rocket from the blue line, toward
Petr Mrazek and absolutely buries it in twine, as he scored his first goal for the Nashville Predators. What a beautiful goal.
It's safe to say, while Mattis Ekholm is a nice addition for a long-playoff haul, you can't help but miss Barrie on the power play.
Barrie's game-winning goal set the tone, as the defenseman is just getting started as this is his 2nd game with the Predators.
It is early to say, but it looks like both teams have won this trade, but long-term Edmonton will feel his loss on the power-play unit.
