The Edmonton Oilers are going to work hard to do something that no other team in the NHL is going to do, which is to take the exhibition season as seriously as they can.

Woodcroft is expected to have a successful regular season by fine-tuning its lineup during the pre-season, both individually and collectively.

"We're looking to approach this pre-season seriously."

Coach Woodcroft looks ahead to exhibition action after skate at #Oilers Training Camp.

In order to accomplish this, how does he intend to achieve it? To balance out the lineup, it is important to dress the right amount of veterans, with a mix of rookies and prospects.

The coach's goal for the pre-season is to help the team build toward success, as it seems that the franchise has been working towards one thing all along: "Cup or Bust".

There is no doubt that this is a bold statement from one of the best coaches in the league, who had his Oilers competing against some of the best in the league in the 2022-2023 season of the NHL.

He would lead the Oilers to the playoffs for a short while, but he would later be knocked out by the Vegas Golden Knights in the second round.

There is no doubt that the head coach is looking to win it all this year.
