The Edmonton Oilers certainly could use some good news these days, between the injuries they have sustained to key players and the porous defense they have been receiving, today they received some welcome news with two key players returning to practice.
Oilers superstar Leon Draisaitl was in a full-contact jersey today, along with Klim Kostin who exited the last game due to a potential foot injury. Draisatil's absence was a little more mysterious as Head Coach Jay Woodcroft alluded to just the bumps and bruises that Draisatil was dealing with. Kostin on the other hand twisted his foot during the final seconds of the game and had to be helped off the ice.
The Oilers are currently in a playoff fight with the Calgary Flames for the final out card spot and need all hands on deck. The return of Draistil and Kostin will certainly bolster their chances.
