MUST SEE: Mike Smiths Sets Up Connor McDavid's OT Winning Goal
So far this season, things haven't gone the way the Edmonton Oilers initially planned. After making it to the Western Conference Finals, this season the Oilers are currently 5th in the Pacific Division with a 18-15-2 record.
With 2022 coming to an end Oilers Daily decided to look back at some of the Oilers best moments of the year, when this goal came to mind.
The Oilers were in San Jose to face the Sharks, with the two teams battling in overtime. Oilers goaltender Mike Smith would make a save vs the Sharks when Smith would notice McDavid was open for a break away pass.
McDavid wouldn't be denied making a sick deke and unleashing a backhand upstairs past Sharks goaltender James Reimer for a big overtime win!
