Maple Leafs Player Gets Informed That He Was Traded Mid Practice: Forced to Pack His Bags and Leave

The NHL trades have been coming hard and heavy with many players being moved. One move we didn't see coming was between the Toronto Maple Leafs and Washington Capitals.

The Leafs traded defenceman Ramus Sandin to the Washington Capitals in exchange for defenceman Erik Gustaffsson and a 2023 1st pick.

Sandin clearly wasn't expecting the trade as it happened during the Leafs practice, where they informed Sandin he was traded away.

Sandin said his goodbyes to his teammates including his best friend and fellow Swede William Nylander, you could tell Sandin seemed pretty disappointed especially when the Leafs look like they might actually get past the first round this year.
