For all the antagonizing moments Matthew Tkachuk does on the ice against his opponents, whether scoring many goals or playing his aggressive style, NHL defencemen always enjoy getting a little revenge.
Tkachuk, a member of the Florida Panthers, participated in the surfboard dunk competition, where he was the one sitting in the dunk tank above some ice-cold water. The player who tried to get the 25-year-old left winger to swim was Adam Fox of the New York Rangers.
Fox began the comp with a slow start missing several surfboards. Once he found his groove, he started to knock them down one by one fairly quickly and had many chances to hit the NHL logo bullseye. At the 25-second mark, Fox only took one shot to dunk Tkachuk.
The Norris trophy-winning defenseman quietly celebrated the feat and continued the activities of the All-Star weekend.
With the conclusion of the All-Star weekend, the NHL will resume the schedule, with the Oilers on the road against the Detroit Red Wings on Tuesday, February 7th. Game time will start at 7:30 PM.
