Minor hockey player passes away after freak accident
Unfortunately, another brutal tragedy has hit the sport of hockey. Earlier today, CityNews Montreal has reported that an 11-year old minor hockey player in the area has passed away in a freak accident during practice.
According to the report, the young player was struck in the neck by a puck on Tuesday night. He was rushed to the hospital in critical condition, where he remained until Friday when he passed away.
CityNews also reported that the player was indeed wearing all the necessary protection, including a neck protector, which only adds to the tragedy of this incident.
This occurrence is just truly awful to hear, especially with him wearing the neck protection - and more so in the wake of Adam Johnson's death. The hockey world should be thinking of the parents of the child, and all those impacted by this horrible story.
