NHL Insider States The Oilers May be Making a Huge Trade
The Oilers have been very open about their interest in bringing another defenceman and the rumour mill has been buzzing of late.
Which begs to question, there are quite a few options in terms of serviceable defencemen. But one name seems to keep relevant.
Darren Dreger ponders whether Erik Karlsson could be an option for the Oilers.
''The Oilers need a top defenceman,''said Darren Dreger. ''Now, do they get wild and crazy and try to swing for the fences and try to get in on Erik Karlsson of the San Jose Sharks? It seems impossible that they could do that but there's some around the organization with interest.''
As if McDavid and Draisaitl needed a powerplay quarterback to make them even more lethal. But my, would that be a dominant trio.
