It's clear that the Calgary Flames fan base has no more love when it comes to former Flames star Johnny Gaudreau. The player that was nicknamed "Johnny Hockey" decided to leave the Flames behind, and chose to sign with the Columbus Blue Jackets this past off-season.
Flames fans let Gaudreau know he was now an enemy, booing him from the first time he touched the puck to the final buzzer.
Flames fans had a good laugh at Gaudreau's expense, when he was given a penalty shot he would miss the net completely.
Back when Gaudreau signed with the Blue Jackets this off-season he would say he came here to win a Stanley Cup. However, with the Columbus Blue Jackets being one of the worst teams in the NHL this season there isn't going to be any playoffs for Gaudreau and Flames fans decided to remind him with this savage sign.
This had to remind Flames fans back to Gaudreau's last game as a Flame in the 2nd round of the playoffs last year, Gaudreau turned the puck over and the Oilers would score in overtime to eliminate the the Flames from the playoffs. A Oilers fan in attendance had the most savage sign of the night to remind Gaudreau.
After the game, despite all the bashing from the Flames fans Johnny Hockey still showed his love to his former team and their fans.
