The Edmonton Oilers were riding high competing for the top spot in the Pacific Division. Until recently, the Oilers seemed to have found a way to lose games to non-playoff teams, giving up 2-3 goal leads, taking bad penalties, and more.. you name it.

The Oilers now sit 4th in the Pacific Division just 3 points up on battle of Alberta rivals the Calgary Flames, and if the Oilers don't wake up soon they'll be outside of the playoffs.

We've seen players showing signs of playing frustration boiling over including captain Connor Mcdavid. Now the head coach of the Oilers Jay Woodcroft would speak showing his disappointment in the team saying:

"To dress this up any other way then to say it's utterly disappointing would be false."

The Oilers need to stick together and figure things out now why they still can. Having players like Leon Draisaitl and Connor McDavid in their primes along with the season Zach Hyman is having, the Oilers can't afford to blow this opportunity.
