There is one stat that Oilers goaltender Jack Campbell is celebrating today. He has completed another trip around the sun and bringing in his new year of 31 years old. Jack Campbell was born on January 9th, 1992.
Campbell, unfortunately, has not had the success that he had hoped for this season when he signed his five-year $25 million deal. Campbell has started 17 games, has 9 wins 7 losses, and 1 overtime loss. He currently holds a 3.69 GAA and .878 SV% the Oilers will need his game to improve immensely to have a good chance of making the playoffs let alone a playoff run.
There has been some mention of trade talks for the Port Huron Minnesota native, however with the contract he has, and the cap hit it will be exceedingly difficult to move him. I do believe the Oilers will have no choice but to continue with his services for quite a while.
