When it comes down to who the best hockey player in the world is, most would say it's Edmonton Oilers Captain Connor McDavid.
The 25 year-old has been killing it since going 1st overall back in 2015. Having already 5- 100 point plus season's in his career so far and likely will continue that for many years.
