Oilers star forward offers his thoughts on the upcoming playoff.
The Oilers have fought hard this season and deserved a few days break after finishing up their season and locking up a playoff spot with home-ice advantage.
Today, the Oilers practiced at the downtown community arena at Rogers Place and Oilers forward Evander Kane offered his thoughts on where the Oilers stand and how he feels about going into this playoff this season.
As mentioned in questioning, this must feel like a full reset for Kane after he suffered a grizzly wrist injury early on in the season which kept him out for many months. His season did not turn around as he hoped as he played 41 games, scored sixteen goals with 12 assists for 28 points and was a - 4.
After being traded from the San Jose Sharks last year, Kane was a force with the Oilers well into the playoffs and gave them a fantastic playoff run.
Last year he played 15 games, scored thirteen goals with four assists for 17 points and was a +2 with 37 penalty minutes.
The Oilers hope that Kane can regain that form and add to it to help them win their 6th Stanley Cup.
