If you're an Ottawa Senators fan, today isn't good news, because of the news revealed by Ottawa Senators General Manager Pierre Dorion.

The news is that 23 year-old center Josh Norris will have to have surgery and will miss the remainder of the season due to a shoulder injury he apparently re-injured.

Norris suffered a shoulder injury back in October vs the Arizona Coyotes that cause him to miss most of the season, but may have not been fully recovered when the Senators cleared him back to play.

Norris was cleared to return back on January 18th and after playing just 3 games the injury returned, causing the Senators to make today's announcement. Norris would also talk with NHL.com about his injury saying:

"There were some tough days, obviously," Norris said, per NHL.com. "It's a long recovery. Some days you feel good and some days you don't. You have a good week and then you have not so great of a week. I think I was just trying to stay even-keeled and stay with it mentally. It was a long recovery. I had some really good teammates checking in on me and stuff, so I'm grateful for that." - Josh Norris

Norris's season ends having appeared in just eight games, scoring two goals and adding one assist. The Senators have to be a bit worried as Norris just signed an eight-year, $63.6 million contract last summer on the heels of an impressive 35-goal campaign.
