In all NHL playoff games, the physicality and the pressure rise with every game that passes. Teams will resort to heavier checks and sometimes dangerous plays to get an advantage over the opponent.

This has been seen numerous times in this playoff so far with some players having faced extra discipline because of it.

Tonight, the Oilers were playing Game 4 against the Kings. LA Kings forward Adrian Kempe decided to throw a dangerous hit from behind against Evan Bouchard.

One can say it's playoff hockey, but a hit from behind like this is not acceptable. Bouchard was attempting to go for the puck and less than two seconds into his skate he didn't even have a chance. This kind of hit can cause all kinds of major neck injuries and head injuries that are just not necessary during the game.

Kempe is one of LA's important point-getters, and the last thing they need is for him to be in a suspension for an avoidable play that was unnecessary.

After a wild three periods, and being down three to nothing early in the first, the Oilers stormed back and won the game 4-3 in overtime.
