REPORT | Edmonton Oilers Announce Two Transactions That Benefits The Organization
The Edmonton Oilers need flexibility in their roster, as the trade deadline ends and competition steps up at both the NHL and AHL levels.
General Manager Ken Holland completed two transactions that do exactly that today.
Rooke Defenseman Philip Broberg and depth Center Devin Shore were both sent down to the Bakersfield Condors. They were immediately recalled to Edmonton, so this was a paper transaction.
This allows Edmonton to send both players back down in order to help the Condors in their Calder Cup Playoffs push if they're needed.
Rookie Defenseman Vincent Desharnais was not a part of the transaction and will remain with the club.
