Edmonton Oilers goaltender Stuart Skinner recently announced that he'll be leaving the team, but for all good measures. His wife is expecting her newborn at any time, which leaves the Edmonton Oilers with a hole to fill in the goaltending position, which indicates Skinner may miss a few games to focus on family.

The Edmonton Oilers have officially called up goaltender Calvin Pickard, he is 30-years of age and will serve as a temporary backup goaltender until Skinner is good.
Pickard has a 25-54-10 record throughout his 116-game NHL career and holds a .903 save percentage with a 3.04 goals against average.
