According to Chris Johnston of TSN, the Edmonton Oilers have expressed interest to the Chicago Blackhawks to see if Patrick Kane would waive no-movement clause to join the Edmonton Oilers.

This almost makes zero sense with Ken Holland's current slow-motion movement as of late, with the Oilers still fighting the NHL's salary cap with $562,000 available, another team is likely to beat the Oilers to it.

It is ultimately up to Patrick Kane and where he will want to go, but in the end it'll have to be to an organization who can take on cap, or a percentage of Kane's salary if the Chicago Blackhawks end up retaining salary.

Kane is also battling hip issues, many have wondered if he is in need of surgery as they notice a major difference in his play with just 37 points in 51 games this year..

With all the requirements to acquire Kane, should the Oilers still attempt to do so if he agrees to head to Edmonton?
