The Edmonton Oilers are playing an early 3:00PM Eastern Standard Time game today against the former Cup Champions the Colorado Avalanche, approximately 20 minutes prior to puck drop, the Oilers released their official lineup, and fans have noticed two players are missing..

Oilers at Colorado:

Foegele-McDavid-Puljujarvi
Hyman-Draisaitl-Yamamoto
Janmark-RNH-Ryan
Shore-McLeod

Nurse-Ceci
Kulak-Barrie
Broberg-Bouchard

Campbell

The two players are Klim Kostin and Evander Kane, two big-bodied wingers who the Oilers seriously benefit having when in the lineup.

Because Ken Holland, the NHL's highest paid general manager, has yet to make proper cap space throughout the past several months, the Oilers do not even have enough forwards to ice a full lineup.. how is this acceptable?
