One thing is clear, this season Ryan Nugent Hopkins is having a career year. His numbers are off the scale compared to his previous seasons, with plane 72 games having scored 33 goals with 55 assists for 88 points. He holds a + 9 it has 45 power-play points.

Those numbers on their own are what the Oilers hoped for when they drafted him. However, Oiler Analytic thinks that he is the most underrated player in the NHL and that he will beat Nathan MacKinnon of the Colorado Avalanche in total points.

As Nuge reaches his peak performance for the Oilers, the team hopes it translates to a long playoff run and hopes for a shot at the Stanley Cup.
