Referee Blows The Whistle to Save The Vegas Golden Knights From Losing Their Lead
NHL fans, particularly those supporting the Florida Panthers, are seething with anger following their heartbreaking 3-2 loss to the Vegas Golden Knights in Game 4, which now places the Knights with a commanding 3-1 series lead.
What's grabbing attention in the headlines, unfortunately, is the alarming favouritism shown by the referees towards the Golden Knights.
In two glaring instances, the referee blatantly overlooked a stick slash by Mark Stone on a Panthers player, followed by a powerplay for the Knights just seconds later when Stone was tripped.
However, the most egregious call came with less than a minute remaining when the Panthers were relentlessly pressuring the Knights' zone. Just as they were about to tie the game, the referee abruptly blew the play dead, nullifying a potential goal and fuelling the fury of outraged fans.
WOW Huge whistle mistake by the refs while the Panthers were attacking in the VGK zone leads to a win for the #VGK and they are 3 periods away from winning the Lord Stanley at home. Close game 3-2 Vegas.
