The Edmonton Oilers are currently dominating the series under the guidance of Jay Woodcroft, following their victory in the Battle of Alberta.

As predicted, the Calgary Flames have undergone a significant transition since Darryl Sutter's departure, resulting in the departure of many veteran players, including Tyler Toffoli.

Not to throw another log onto the fire for #Flames, but the potential exodus continues.

I'm told Tyler Toffoli also plans on not re-signing in Calgary.

Further to the reports on Tyler Toffoli, it sounds like the player is looking for a trade out of Calgary. The belief is he's not approaching the situation with a desired destination and will keep an open mind.

Despite his impressive performance in a challenging season under a subpar coach, Toffoli is now available and highly sought after as a top-six scorer for any team.

Edmonton's top target should be Toffoli but it'll never happen

With 34 goals and 39 assists in 82 games, he proved his worth with a total of 73 points on a mediocre team. However, his $4.5 million cap hit for the 2023-2024 season may pose a challenge for the Oilers.

Ken Holland will need to make strategic moves to manage the budget and secure Toffoli for the team.
