Evander Kane has certainly had an up-and-down season this year since coming over from the San Jose Sharks. Aside from the legal trouble he has had, his first season with the Oilers was quite impactful.
This season however was a much different experience as he suffered A gruesome injury to his wrist after being cut by a skate. Since his return from the injury, he has not sustained the level of play that he had before.
During the broadcast of game five against the LA Kings, the Sportsnet panel during the first intermission revealed that Evander Kane is battling an injury and will continue to play through it, they sneakingly laughed it off, you could very well get the impression that they wanted to say more, but were not allowed to.
They even go on to chuckle a little bit about the injury as Kane continued to produce results during the first period of that game and even scored a goal.
Time will tell, to see if this injury will continue to reduce his role or put him out of the lineup. In the meantime, the Oilers are suiting up for game six in Los Angeles which will be held on April 29th. The start time will be determined soon.
