The Edmonton Oilers are looking to get back to business after the NHL All-Star break. The Oilers General Manager Ken Holland is looking at what moves he could make to improve the Oilers before March 3rd's NHL trade deadline.
One player Holland hasn't been able to move thous far is 2016 4th overall pick Forward Jesse Puljujärvi. The 24 year-old has been an utter disappointment for the Oilers, Holland tried moving Puljujärvi at the draft but couldn't get a deal done.
However, according to multiple sources and Michael DeRosa of NHL TR, there's speculation that the Tampa Bay Lightning are looking to acquire Puljujärvi. This would be perfect because Holland just wants to dump Puljujärvi's salary before March 3rd to have extra cap space.
Frank Seravalli of the Daily Faceoff has also stated that there is a trade lined up for Puljujarvi, but that the Oilers are waiting to see the injury status on Kailer Yamamoto, who is on the injury reserve list before making a deal.
