The Edmonton Oilers Have Made a Young Star Available For Trade
The Edmonton Oilers appear to have doubts about the progress of defenseman Philip Broberg, leading to speculation about his future with the team.
Despite playing 46 games this season, Broberg was mostly utilized as the seventh defenseman alongside Vincent Desharnais. Many expected the 22-year-old to secure a regular roster spot like Evan Bouchard did at a similar age.
However, Broberg has yet to be given a significant opportunity, averaging just over 12 minutes of ice time per game. As the Oilers aim to upgrade their roster and contend for a Stanley Cup, trade rumors involving Broberg have surfaced.
