The NHL trade deadline recently concluded last Friday and Toronto Maple Leafs General Manager Kyle Davidson had to be the busiest GM by far.

Dubas made plenty of moves including acquiring Erik Gustafsson, Sam Lafferty, Jake McCabe, Noel Acciari, Luke Schenn, and most notably Ryan O'Reilly from the St Louis Blues.

However, according Sportsnet's Hockey Insider Elliotte Friedman the Maple Leafs Gm wasn't done with making moves at the deadline. Friedman would reveal Dubas was trying hard to acquire Defensemen Mattias Ekholm, and Erik Karlsson.

Unfortunately for Dubas he couldn't find teams to join as 3rd party like the O'Reilly trade, or the Rangers who acquired Patrick Kane and Vladimir Tarasenko.
