One player who has been gathering interest amongst the other general managers is forward Warren Foegele. His seasonal play is decent as he played 67 games, and scored thirteen goals with 15 assists for 28 points. This puts him in the second or third-line category but makes him an excellent depth forward for any team looking for that.
According to Elliotte Friedman of the 32 Thoughts podcast, the main issue is that the Oilers do not want to let go of Oilers forward Kailer Yamamoto. Having been drafted in the first round and the Oilers having high hopes for his skill set and playmaking, Yamamoto has been plagued with injuries all season and has yet to live up to his potential.
With the cap not going up past $1,000,000 next year and the fact that Holland has such little to work he will need to choose between either player letting go of either player is not what the Oilers want to do.
The news will continue to build up as important dates continue to come towards the Oilers and the rest of the NHL including the NHL Entry Draft slated for June 28th and 29th.
