Ryan McLeod and Evan Bouchard, two rookies for the Edmonton Oilers, have made impressive strides in the big leagues. Evan Bouchard has become an integral member of the defensive core, excelling on the power-play.

Meanwhile, McLeod has proven himself to be a valuable asset to the offense, forming a strong partnership with Derek Ryan and Warren Foegele.

There is no cap space left to sign multiple players, Darnell Nurse's $9M+ contract is really cap strapping the organization.

Bouchard has stepped up this season, scoring 8 goals and earning 40 points. McLeod has also made significant contributions, with 11 goals and 23 points in 57 games played during the playoffs.

However, there is a risk of losing these talented players to other teams if they receive offer sheets and decline the current qualifying offers from Ken Holland.

While offer sheets have been used frequently in the past, it's unlikely that a team with enough cap space will make an offer for Bouchard or McLeod.

Nonetheless, both players will need to carefully consider their futures.
