As a journeyman center, Tomas Nosek has been fortunate to play for many teams during his career, including the Boston Bruins and the Vegas Golden Knights.

Because he was a member of the team that won the President's Trophy, you'd think he would have been a sought-after option, but apparently Ken Holland did not know that way.

As a result of this, Nosek recently signed a contract with the New Jersey Devils on a value contract for $1 Million AAV for one year.

In addition to his face-off skills, Nosek is known for playing a defensive-oriented style of hockey, which is precisely what a bottom-six lineup needs.

Even though he isn't an overly skilled player, he managed to put up seven goals and 18 points this season, with a plus-9 rating and two postseason assists to round out a solid season.

There are few options left for a 4th line center, with Paul Stastny, Eric Staal, Derek Stepan, Derek Grant and Jonathan Toews (who is expected to retire shortly) remaining in the picture.

Holland has not yet decided whether or not it will seek a 4th line center for the team, or rely upon a Bakersfield call-up to fill the role.
