The Worst is Confirmed for The 2022 First Overall Pick by The Montreal Canadiens
The Montreal Canadiens first overall pick Juraj Slafkovsky left the game against the New York Rangers on Sunday night, and it raised concern for many.
Sportnet's Eric Angels has reported that Slafkovsky is now sidelined with a lower-body injury, the second injury throughout the rookies first short stint in the NHL this year.
« The Canadiens announced that it is a lower body injury for Juraj Slafkovsky. No idea yet how long he will be out. He will be evaluated in Montreal. Expensive trip for the CH, with Jake Evans injured Saturday as well." - Eric Engels, Sportsnet Slafkovsky has 10 points this season which is not bad whatsoever for the lower amount of minutes he's getting, but talks have picked up that he may be sent down to the AHL soon. It may be the best bet to let Slafkovsky develop in the AHL this season to further his development, and to possibly avoid other injuries.
