Trevor Zegras, The upcoming rising star of the Anaheim Ducks was forced to leave the game briefly against the Edmonton Oilers tonight after taking a strong cross-check from Oilers defenseman Mattias Ekholm.

After taking a nice wrist shot against Campbell, Zegras was skating around and was tangling with two Oilers players when Ekholm laid the lumber to him in the centre mass of his body. Z Chris hunched over and skated directly towards the corridor to the dressing room.

The good news for the Ducks is that he did return after this incident and then tried to get into a scuffle with Ekholm just as the period ended.

Back home, who came over from a trade from the Nashville Predators has settled very nicely in with the Oilers' defence score.

Currently, the Oilers are number one in the power play league-wide and he has given the defence a shot in the arm that they needed.

Now for some fantastic news, the Oilers have locked up their playoff spot. they will be able to continue to tune up their lineup and see which players will become the locks for game one in round one.
