Video Footage Released of Evander Kane and Several Other Oilers Doing Good Deeds For Christmas
Several Edmonton Oilers, including injured forward Evander Kane have teamed up with multiple foundations to give kids a better Christmas, and have done amazing acts of kindness that you love to see.
On Thursday, 11 students from Eastglen High School had the holiday shopping experience of a lifetimejoined by Edmonton Oilers' Evander Kane! On top of one-on-one time with Kane, each student received a $250 Walmart gift card to spend on items they may not have had the opportunity to purchase for themselves.
When organizers learned that one student was saving his gift card for groceries, Kane let the student know he would receive a bonus gift of groceries, so he could spend the gift card on himself. The student also received a signed Kane Oilers jersey.
''This incredible event was supported by the Edmonton Oilers, James H. Brown Injury Lawyers and Kids Up Front Edmonton. Thank you for your generosity!''
"It really humbles you & gives you an understanding of the need that's out there."
The #Oilers have been out in full force this holiday season giving back to those in need, including @evanderkane's shopping trip with more than 100 local youth in partnership with @kidsupfrontYEG
