Now that all NHL teams have opened their training camps and the 107th NHL season has begun, it's important to note that some players will suffer injuries in the early days of the year as they come back from summer vacation and deal with possible tweaks in their physical condition.

On the second day of training camp, head coach Jay Woodcroft announced that two players are suffering from injuries that will keep them out of the lineup for a few days or longer. You can find more information about these injuries in this tweet.

Ryan Mcleod is out with a soft tissue injury, and minor league goalie Ryan Fante will be sidelined for a month due to a hip problem. Additionally, it's worth noting that they reported yesterday that Mattias Ekholm is suffering from a hip flexor injury.

Both players and teams need to address these injuries promptly as they work on improving their conditioning. The duration of these players' absences is yet to be determined, except for Fante, but the Oilers will kick off their preseason hockey on September 24th against the Winnipeg Jets.
