Team Canada has reached out to Chicago Blackhawks superstar Connor Bedard to formally invite him to join the team during this year's Men's World Championship. Even with the season still underway, it's widely expected he will say yes to this invitation.
Both pundits also spoke about the potential of a Crosby – Bedard line up. They felt it would be an amazing sight to see both these great players playing together. It also remains to be seen on whether Crosby will agree to join the roster as the Penguins are only five points out of a playoff spot.
This longstanding tournament has gone back all the way since 1920 when it was introduced during the 1920 Summer Olympics. Team Canada has been the most successful with 28 titles and they were the most recent champ as they won in 2023. As competitive as Rick Nash was during his NHL days, it's highly likely that this roster will be deadly to deal with.
