Perron's wife Vanessa told the world in an Instagram post to what has been happening with their family and their unborn child who's facing extreme health risks after her birth and will face major surgery to correct a pulmonary malformation.
The Perron family has endured extreme stress since finding out the medical issues with their unborn child. They've also lived in a hotel room throughout the summer as they waited for news on what the next set of plans.
Meanwhile, Perron signed in a new contract with the Ottawa Senators after spending two seasons with the Detroit Red Wings which is two years worth $8 million holding the cap hit of $4 million per season.
Perron has played in several NHL cities throughout his career which include stops in St Louis, Anaheim, Las Vegas, Detroit, Pittsburgh and Ottawa. He also spent some time with the Edmonton Oilers as he played for the organization from 2013 through 2015. He was deemed a fan favorite and gave the Oilers quality offense in his first year as he played 78 games, scoring 28 goals with 29 assists for 57 points and had 90 penalty minutes.
On January 2nd 2015, Perron was traded to the Pittsburgh Penguins in exchange for Rob Klinkhammer along with the 2015 first round draft pick.
With every team he has signed with, he has given solid point production and always a factor on the score sheet. This factor is the reason why the Ottawa Senators signed him to a two-year deal as the team continues to look for more offense.
We want to extend our support and well wishes to the Perron family during this difficult time.
