Jake Oettinger's dropped stick robs Connor McDavid of a goal
The Edmonton Oilers could not by any luck in the first period of Game 4 in the Western Conference final as Jake Oettinger's stick made one of the best saves in the playoffs.
The Oilers were swarming Oettinger's net and it appeared that it was a sure goal as Oettinger lost his stick and was behind him laying near the goal line. Without it and at the mercy of Connor McDavid, McDavid threw the puck on net to which the stick deflected it away from the goal line.
The crowd of Rogers place and McDavid himself were in complete disbelief that that goal did not go in as McDavid shook his head on the bench.
The Oilers are looking to even the series at home as they prepare to go on the road back to Dallas for Game 5. After one period of play the score is 2-2.
