Johnny Gaudreau's wife shares touching tribute on social media
Meredith Gaudreau, Johnny Gaudreau's wife, posted a touching tribute to her husband this morning on social media.
Meredith made two posts to Instagram this morning, sharing many photos of Johnny Hockey and their young family. She noted what an exceptional father he was to their daughter Noa and son Johnny, and how despite his work schedule, always made a point to be present for his children.
In the second post, Meredith focused on what Johnny was like as her husband. Meredith called Johnny her perfect forever love, and she can't wait to see him again.
On the night of August 29th, Johnny Gaudreau and Matthew Gaudreau were fatally struck by a drunk driver. Sean Higgins is now in custody at Salem County Correctional Facility, and is facing up to 20 years in prison.
This senseless tragedy has completely rocked the hockey world. Multiple NHL players have come together to make donations to the Gaudreau family, specifically Matthew's wife and unborn son. Tributes to Johnny Hockey are growing at the Calgary Saddledome and Nationwide Arena in Columbus. The NHL will forever remember Johnny Hockey and the awful tragedy that took him far too soon.
