Evander Kane reveals he wears two Rolex watches in warmup
Since signing with the Edmonton Oilers in 2022, everyone was aware of the personality, and even the baggage that surrounds Evander Kane. However, despite the events of his personal life, Kane has always been an extremely effective player for the Oilers.
Recently on a show with Tim Peel and Jeremy Roenick, Evander Kane revealed a fun way he was able to hype up the team on their win streak - and it was in classic Kane fashion. When the Oilers were chasing their fifth win in a row, Kane promised to wear two Rolex watches in their next warmup if the team could pull off the win.
I told the boys, I said, if we win five in a row, that sixth game, in warmup, I'll rock double Rolexes in warmup Just to get the boys going.
Regardless of any past issues he may have, this is just a simple and fun way for Kane to show some leadership on the team, and motivate an extra bit more for success. It's a great and lighthearted show of leadership from Kane, which is important to come from a top forward on a winning team.
This season, while battling a nagging injury, Kane has been as effective as ever. Through 26 games this season, Kane has scored 12 goals and 22 points, while leading the team with 33 hits. As one of the best power forwards in the league, Kane playing his best game is critical for the Oilers offence, and their long term goal of a Stanley Cup.
