The Oilers' season has taken a downturn as they have played more than 10 games. Early indications suggest that the Oilers have not responded well to the scheme changes implemented by head coach Jay Woodcroft earlier this season. The team currently holds a 2-7-1 record after their defeat to Nashville.

Connor McDavid had much to say about the loss and the Oilers' season's challenging start. He was asked for his thoughts on the game and the season.

The team continues to struggle with scoring goals, defending against the puck, and facing subpar goaltending, with Jack Campbell once again having difficulties in the net.

General manager Ken Holland decided to make minor adjustments to the team, focusing on the periphery rather than making significant moves during the summer.

He believed the team needed another opportunity to contend for a Stanley Cup with the roster he had assembled. It appears that if the Oilers do not improve and start securing wins, making the playoffs may become unlikely.

The Oilers are set to continue their road trip as they travel to Vancouver to face the red-hot Canucks. The game is scheduled for 10:00 PM Eastern on Monday, November 6th.
