Early in November, young Oilers' forward Dylan Holloway took a hard crash into the end boards during a game against the Islanders. Holloway left that game in the second period, and hasn't been seen much since.

After that game, coach Knoblauch was unable to provide details about the injury, but did note that it would be long term. Now, another reporter has revealed new details of Holloway's injury.

On the OilersNation podcast, Jason Gregor mentioned that it was a positive sign to see Holloway up and walking around, as he learned he suffered a fractured kneecap.

Now 22 years old and drafted by the Oilers 10th overall in 2020, and in the final year of his entry level contract, Edmonton was greatly hoping to get some offensive production from the young player. With his skills and ceiling, and being paid just $925K, Holloway finding his game upon returning from injury will be huge for the team's success.

At this time, it's unknown when Holloway will be able to return, but it's good to know he's trending in the right direction. The next positive step will be hitting the ice for practice.
